Regional School Unit #20                                 WEYMOUTH & AMES SCHOOLS Laura Miller, Principal 2 South Main Street   Morrill, ME 04952 Student Council Minutes February 24, 2010 1.      The meeting was called to order and two members were absent. 2.      All present members agreed that they had shared January minutes with their classmates. 3.      Council discussed Valentine sales and agreed that next year we need to have many more products available for sale.  We sold out of most items by day 3. 4.      Rosalie, the region's assistant to the lunch director, will be joining our council on March 17th.  We will help to build a week of lunches for the April calendar. 5.      Council considered Ms.Ferriter's offer to help with Books from Ethiopia.  The council is very interested.  She will need to join us for a meeting to tell us what our next steps should be.  She should contact Mrs. Miller for a date to meet with the council. 6.      Council suggested many ideas for March Madness Days.  We voted and the following are the 5 most popular.                 March 3- Sports Day March 10- Crazy hair day March 17- Necktie Day March 24- pajama and/or slipper day March 31- nail polish and/or face paint day 7.      On another note, it was reported that students have not been keeping to their agreement to do their job appropriately in the cafeteria on Wednesday "sit anywhere day".  So this Wednesday March 3rd, all students must sit at their regular tables.  We will try again on March 10th. 8.      Meeting was adjourned at 12:07.
