A.      How does Middle East’s geography and climate affect their chances of Peace and Prosperity?a.    Identify the key features of the Middle East’s Geography and Climate and evaluate whether these natural features and resources help or hurt their chances for peace and prosperity in the future.

B.      How does Middle East's history affect their chances of peace and prosperity?
a.      Describe some of the major events in Middle Eastern history and current events.  Determine if there are trends that may influence the future of the region and evaluate their prospects for peace and prosperity.

C.      How can the speaker's passion for the "great struggle", in the poem, The World, My Friends, My Enemies, You, and the Earth, provide a voice to the suicide bombers in the Middle East today?

D.      How does Middle Eastern culture affect their chances of peace and prosperity?
a.      Faith and beliefs provoke strong emotions in people.  How might the story, A Tale of Our Quarter help explain the power of faith?
b.      Do God's promises to Abraham justify Jews controlling Israel today?
c.      Does Gabriel's promise to Mary give Christians a claim to the region now called Israel?
d.      Do Allah's words justify Moslems fighting for the land called Israel today?

E.       How does the Middle Eastern economy affect their chances of peace and prosperity?
a.      Using the ‘Six Factors of Economic Success’ as a guide, describe and evaluate the Middle Eastern economy of today and how they may influence the future of the region and their prospects for peace and prosperity.
b.      Based upon the story, A Handful of Dates, should the oil rich nations in the Middle East take more responsibility in assisting the region's poor countries, and those struggling with conflicts?

F.      Conclusion
