Your final Journal will be graded in the areas listed below.  You may earn a total of 20 points in each category, with a grand total of 140 points being a perfect grade.
 

  1. Rough Draft - Needs to include a timetable and show a basic idea of what is in the final journal.
  2. Cover Page - Must include artwork, title, your name, date, and a small table of contents.
  3. Accuracy - All facts and answers must be accurate and based upon your research.
  4. Thoroughness - All tasks must be completed and on time.
  5. Creativity - Information in your journal should be presented in a colorful and imaginative manner.
  6. Neatness - Your jounal should be neatly bound, clean, clear and readable, smooth pages, and have an appealing look.

Rough Draft

 

Rough Draft is ineffective or missing many of the adventure material.
Done, but much work left to finish and it is very simplistic and lacking in quality.
It is fairly detailed, accurate and convincing, moving toward Exemplary work.
The highest level of performance just needs some poilishing to be completed.

 

Cover Page

 

 

Cover Page is distractingly messy or very poorly designed. It is not attractive and lacks proper elements.
Cover Page is acceptably attractive though it may be a bit messy. It contains most proper but basic elements with just a few minor mistakes.
Cover Page is original and attractive in terms of design, layout and neatness. It contains all proper elements.
Cover Page is original and exceptionally attractive in terms of design, layout, and neatness. It contains all proper elements without any mistakes.

 

Accuracy

 

 

Student makes more than 4 errors in grammar or spelling, capitalization or punctuation that distract the reader from the content.
Student makes 3-4 errors in grammar or spelling, capitalization or punctuation and somewhat distracts the reader. performance.
Student makes 1-2 errors in grammar or spelling, capitalization or punctuation barely distracts the reader.
Student makes no errors in grammar or spelling, capitalization or punctuation and does not distract the reader.

 

Thoroughness

 

Fails to demonstrate an accurate information, and inadequate research results,misleading or missing conclusions.
Demonstrates accurate information from the webquest. Student is less than convincing in their thoroughness, their effort is basic. performance.
Demonstrates very accurate informaton from the webquest. Student reflects their thoroughness and effort in their report. mastery of performance.
Highest level that demonstrate a convincing thoroughness of effort in their report. In particular, the research should a sufficient number of sound judment and conclusions to the essential question. .

 

Creativity
Reports are not colorful or precise. They are not complete.
Reports show little effort or imagination. performance.
Reports show above average imagination and creativity moving towards exemplary ideas.
Reports show highest level of performance extended effort beyond the basic. The ideas are imaganitive and creative.

 

Neatness
Reports are not colorful, neat or precise. Incomplete and or unfinished.
Reports show basic not real neat or tidy minimal effort.
Projects show above satisfactory effort and neatness and is complete.
Exemplary Reports show extended effort and research. They are colorful, neat, and precise.
