Nickerson School has walked the
distance from Swanville, Maine to Honolulu, Hawaii!
This is a distance of 5,147 miles and we will be celebrating
with
an All School Luau on May 14, 2008. Debbie Mitchell with the help from
our food service director Perley Martin will serve a Hawaiian
lunch. Students will enjoy an afternoon of fun with coconut relay, beach volleyball, sample native fruit, limbo and flower making.
We will end our celebration with an large erupting volcano at 2:00 P.M. (Thanks to Miss Porter our art teacher)
The entire school has learned Hawaiian songs with Mr.Munson and will sing at the end of the day.
