| CASS PTG Minutes Feb. 7. 2007 1. Valentine Dance- moving along with DJ; desserts, etc. However, since due to weather, dance cancelled. Will plan another event. 2. Michael Wingfield- Susan Wingfield asked if the PTG would be willing to make the final payment of $500.00. Most was paid by MBNA grant in advance. ---------Approved . 3. Read-a-Thon- was scheduled for March 2. Kids would be able to come in PJ’s with sleeping bags and their sponsors. Money earned would be donated to the PTG. In past, this has raised an average of $1000. Volunteer readers would be needed. Snacks provided. 4.Weather Station- will be painted by Gary. Thank you. 5.Project Story Boost- Program for kindergarten. Adult readers would work with children on reading and comprehension. Mrs. Inman is looking for a volunteer to coordinate the program. This has been successful at the Ames School. 6. Connie Bryant- requests PTG assistance in purchasing a rug for the music room for use during OT/PT. PTG will look for suitable rug. 7. Old School Prints- profits to PTG- approx. $400. to date. Suggestion made to sell these during Arts in the Park. 8. Aprilpalooza- need to start planning this event if want to have it. Crystal and Sarah will be unable to chair it this year. Committee chairman and volunteers needed. 9. Teacher Appreciation Week- around the 1st week of May. Need to think of plans for this. 10. Music classes- need volunteers to come in for classes like we had for art program. 11. French Classes- will be starting on Tuesday’s for grade K-2, and Thursdays for grade 3-5. 12. Future PTG leaders- March- Ron and Diane; April- Sarah; May- Beth Anne. Next meeting- March 7 at 6pm. |
