Schedule your Senior Interview
Ask 3 teachers to complete the Teacher Assessment Form and return it to your counselor
Ask your parent(s)/guardian(s) to complete the Parent Assessment Form and return to guidance
Complete the Extracurricular Activities Sheet and return to the guidance office by October 30th
Complete the Student Background Information Sheet and return it to your counselor
Ask teachers for additional letters of recommendation if needed. Be sure to provide them with a stamped, addressed envelope.
Request the guidance office send copies of your transcript and letter of recommendation to each school you are applying to.
If the college(s) you are applying to require a secondary school report form and/or a mid-year report form, submit those with your transcript request
Complete and mail all applications with application fee and essay enclosed
If you are applying for financial aid, be sure to complete the FAFSA (required by all colleges) after January 1st, and the College Board Profile (required by some colleges - be sure to check each school's financial aid requirements) as soon as possible
Be aware of deadlines!
Visit each senior English class to distribute the Senior Planning Guide and talk about post-graduate plans, the college application process, and other relevant information
Conduct Senior Interviews with each Senior, and generate a list of colleges to which you will apply
Review transcripts individually with students
Write a letter of recommendation
Send your transcript, letter and additional information to colleges as necessary
Send mid year grades to each school to which you have applied
