Warm weather is here and we all want a chance for our feet to breathe. But please remember sneakers on physical education day. Please no sandals or flip flops, they are dangerous to be running around in. Enjoy the nice weather and get outside and exercise

Over and under.....

For grades 3-5, the balls are flying! We've taken a stab at our underhand and overhand throwing as well as catching. We've enjoyed tossing to partners, moving targets and implemented these into game-like situations. The older students are also working on cardiovascular fitness and endurance. At the beginning of each class we are doing a jogging warm up attempting to work our way up to 10  minutes of jogging! We've discovered that these easy jogging warm ups make us feel better throughout the day, what a great way to ensure a healthy lifestyle!
The younger students have also been exploring some underhand tossing. We have been tossing for distance, tossing to ourselves and tossing to a partner. Later on this month we are going to attempt hitting using a batting tee. Let's give a hand to the younger students who are also participating in a jogging warm up before each class.
For June~getting geared up for field day!

Exercise in your sneakers please
